I went to the Everglades National Park to get some underwater footage of the alligators and crocodiles. The alligators were difficult to film up close underwater because they were very skittish. The crocodiles were not fearful at all. There were two big crocodiles that would hang out near the marina. The one crocodile that is standing up out of the water was drinking the fresh water that was dripping out of a hose on the dock. The underwater shot at the end of the video is of a 12 footer. He was very big and very scary. If you would like to use this footage in a project it is available for download in HD 1920x1080 at

So i had to redeem myself since my bigfoot incident last night so back out in the woods i went. on the start of my trek just off the main trail i see bob the bobcat then im shooting down by this little lake when i get a text from my buddy that says watch out for gators i say thats not a bad idea so i shine the light around and bang two eyes light up 20 feet in front of me, just a baby gator but yikes.....

i came in from the woods early tonight... scared out of my mind. some pigs started moving in the brush just in front of me, like they have many times before, so i started smacking the bushes to scare them off...this time they dont take off and i think thats strange they usually just run.... then the most horrific howl/scream i have ever heard comes from right behind me. prob 20 yards away but it seamed super close.... i started yelling and smacking the trees and brush like a mad man trying to scare off whatever it was and it just keeps screaming at me..... i seriously freaked out and left half my stuff behind..... im out in the woods a lot at night by myself and its normally a little scary but manageable....this thing got in my head.....any ideas on what it could have been are much appreciated because i have myself convinced it was a bigfoot trying to kill me again and until i can prove to myself otherwise my deep woods night time solo picture taking adventures are going on the back burner.....

REYKJAVIK — The crisis-stricken Icelandic economy shrank by a record 6.5 percent in 2009, having grown by 1.0 percent in 2008 and 6.0 percent in 2007, official data showed on Friday.

"The present figures show that gross domestic product (GDP) decreased by 6.5 percent in real terms, a record in the Icelandic national accounts," Statistics Iceland said in a statement citing provisional figures.

The sharp decline in GDP last year was largely due to a 20.1-percent plunge in domestic expenditure, with household consumption dropping 14.6 percent and government consumption dwindling three percent, as Iceland's fixed capital formation dropped 49.9 percent, the national statistics agency said.

On the up side, exports had grown 6.2 percent as imports fell 24 percent.

"This resulted in a considerable improvement in the balance of goods and services, from a deficit of 42 billion kronur (241 million euros, 328 million dollars) in 2008 to a surplus of 120 billion kronur in 2009," it said.

Iceland's once-booming financial sector ground to a halt in October 2008 when the country's major banks collapsed after borrowing beyond their means to fund ambitious investments abroad -- their liabilities were once worth 11 times Iceland's total GDP.

If you have never heard of BLU, prepare to have your dome blown.

For me there is nothing more relaxing than going to the beach on a warm sunny day, laying in the sand, looking straight up at a palm tree, and listening to the sounds of the wind and waves.

This view puts my mind at ease and reminds me to slow down and remember what is important in this life that goes way to fast.

With the chaos of everyday life consuming our senses, it is nice to sit back and enjoy moments and experiences that are often overlooked. This project aims to study the forgotten moments and times in life that we often pass by without acknowledging.

The rules:
-Video must be exactly one minute long
-No camera movement (no panning, tilting, etc)
-No editing whatsoever
-Use original sound

Jörg Miedza and JanLeonardo Wöllert have been working together since the autumn of 2007, although both have photographic connections going back many years. JanLeonardo came up with the basic concept of Light Art Performance Photography (LAPP) when he was accidentally trapped overnight in an old industrial complex in Bremen in the summer of 2007. He amused himself by making shapes and patterns with some LED lamps, quickly realising that he had discovered a new way of creating photographs.
